Welcome to Senior Lawyers Division
The purposes of this division shall be to uphold the honor of the profession of law, to apply the knowledge and experience of the profession to the promotion of the public good, and to encourage adherence to the principles of professional courtesy among the members of the NC bar. The division shall promote the particular interests of the senior lawyer, plan and carry out programs, publications and activities of interest to the senior lawyer.
NC Casemaker
"NC Casemaker" contains a link to the Casemaker online legal research library and information on how to use this valuable free member service, which provides access to state and federal materials including the NC Pattern Jury Instructions, NC Supreme Court Opinions, NC Statutes, NC Court of Appeals Opinions, NC Attorney General Opinions, US Supreme Court Opinions, US Code of Federal Regulations, all Federal Circuit Court Opinions, and Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.

Governance
"Governance" contains the division's governing documents including the purpose statement and bylaws when available.

Leadership
Meeting minutes, division officers, division council and committee chairs.

Join the Division
"Join the Division" contains an online application form for joining this division.
|
Continuing Legal Education
"CLE" contains division-specific Continuing Legal Education (CLE) information including upcoming programs and publications when available.

"Directories" contains links to the section and division indexes, judicial directory, and membership directory, which is password protected.

Legal Resources
"Legal Resources" contains division-specific legal resources including access to Casemaker / PJI, online links / references, publications (e.g., forms, brochures, booklets, etc.), articles, legislative issues, and other information when available.

LISTSERV
"LISTSERV" contains information on how to use the division’s Listserv including the user agreement, frequently asked questions, and tips and etiquette, as well as a link to the division’s Listserv archive. NOTE: Participation in the Listserv is optional and only available to division members. The Listserv mailing system and archives are also hosted by another company, which requires you to log in to access the archives, etc.

Newsletters
"Newsletters" contains the division’s newsletters, which may be password-protected as determined by the division leadership.

Senior Lawyer Forums
"Senior Lawyers Forums" contains 3 types of web-based discussion forums for (1) section/division members only, (2) NCBA members only, OR (3) Open Forums where anyone can view them, however only section/division members can add threads or comments. It also provides access to the NCBA Forums, a centralized communication tool for each of the NCBA's 28 sections and 4 divisions, and other areas of interest to legal professionals.
